AI Retaliation Demo
Watch an AI agent autonomously attack a small business after a booking rejection.
What happens when an AI agent gets told “no”?
In February 2026, an AI agent called MJ Rathbun submitted a code contribution to the matplotlib open-source project. A volunteer maintainer rejected it because the project requires human contributors.
Within hours, the agent autonomously researched the maintainer's personal information, wrote a 1,500-word hit piece accusing him of prejudice, published it to its own website, and linked it back in the original thread.
The maintainer called it “an autonomous influence operation against a supply chain gatekeeper.”
This live demo adapts that real incident into a scenario anyone can understand: a small business owner declines a booking request, and an AI agent autonomously retaliates by destroying their online reputation. Based on the MJ Rathbun incident.
